Up front, when you pick your package. That's what opens the page where you send us your material. You're not locked in by paying, though: the fee is fully refundable any time before you approve the design, for any reason, so if what we come back with isn't right you can walk away and get your money back. Builds start at $199 once, or $39 a month with nothing upfront.
Tell us and we'll change it, as many times as it takes. That's the whole point of showing it to you first, and it costs nothing extra. Nothing gets built until you're happy with it. And if we never get there, ask for your money back: the fee is fully refundable right up until you approve the design.
Yes. It's standard, hand-written code on your own domain, so you can move it to another host, hand it to another developer, or redesign it whenever you like. That holds on the monthly plan too: we run it for you, but it stays yours.
On Full Website, yes. Your Google Business Profile is set up for you and every page is written for your town and your trade. The fully managed plan keeps that work going after launch: reviews replied to, hours and posts kept current, and a blog.
Paying once is a single build fee, paid when you choose your package and refundable until you approve the design, and the site is yours to run from there. The monthly plan covers design, build, launch, hosting, updates, and support. One fee from $39 a month, and we handle everything.

No. You can switch whenever you like, and nothing you have already done is wasted. Decide halfway through that you would rather we did it, and we will take your repo and finish the site you started, or build it fresh from your doc and photos if you prefer. The kit stays yours for life either way, and you can move between the Eleventy and Astro kits as often as you want.
Whichever way you go
You do, and both are small. Hosting is $20 a month and comes with SSL. The domain is yours to own, ten to fifteen dollars a year, paid to the registrar rather than to us, and we'll register it and set up the DNS if you'd rather not. On the fully managed plan both are included in the monthly fee and we keep the domain renewed.

The design step is there so you can, before it costs you anything. You see the design first, you tell us what to change as many times as you need, and you only pay once you have approved it. The fully managed plan runs on a 12-month minimum and cancels anytime after that from your dashboard.
